De Buyer Mineral B Paella Pan 32cm

The 32cm De Buyer Mineral B paella pan is great for making authentic Spanish paella, but you can also use it for risottos or even big batches of pasta sauce.

You can also take the pan from stove top to oven – try making a large tarte tatin or fruit cobbler in your paella pan! This large iron pan is fitted with 2 stainless-steel side handles for easy lifting.

De Buyer’s Mineral B range of iron pans are coated with natural beeswax. This provides protection against rust. The beeswax also gives Mineral B pans enhanced non-stick properties on the first use compared to other iron pans.

SEASONING INSTRUCTIONS

The De Buyer Mineral B paella pan requires proper seasoning to keep it in top condition. Before the first use, use hot water and a soft sponge to remove the beeswax coating. Then season the pan – pour in just enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan and bring to a high temperature. When a smoky-haze appears remove it from the heat and wipe well with kitchen towel. Now the pan is ready to use.

Always ensure there is enough oil or natural fat (e.g. butter, lard) in the pan when using, then deglaze with hot water and wipe with a paper towel after use. If the pan needs washing, ensure it is completely dried and lightly-oiled before storing. Follow these steps and your pan will build up a dark patina that increases the pan’s non-stick properties. The more you use it, the more non-stick it will become.

This Mineral B paella pan is 32cm in diameter. The total length including both handles is 43cm.

Please note, this pan is not suitable for using on an induction hob.

Please note: due to the manufacturing process there may be scratches on the inner surface of the pan. This does not affect the quality of the product and will disappear with proper seasoning over time.
