Mexican Tortilla Press

This Mexican tortilla press is the easy way to make consistent Mexican corn tortillas at home.

The cast iron round tortilla press is made to a traditional design. Place a ball of masa harina dough in the middle of the open press. Close the two halves, then press down on the handle to instantly make a perfectly thin and round tortilla. Always use greaseproof paper or cling film between your tortilla press and masa dough – which also makes it easier to remove the pressed tortillas.

The Mexican tortilla press comes in two sizes:

• 16cm (makes tortillas 12cm and smaller)

• 19cm (makes tortillas 15cm and smaller)

Note: This is an authentic Mexican tortilla press, so the silver finish is not permanent. It is a protective layer to protect from rust and may be prone to wear over time. This does not affect the quality or performance of the product. Use two sheets of plastic film or baking paper on either plate when pressing out the tortillas. When the product arrives, the dimension on the label of the exterior box indicates the size of tortilla it will make.
